Cemetery Locations

Please note that the Joseph Street and the Canal Street Cemeteries are locked for both the security of visitors and the protection of these historic sites.

Members, families, and visitors to specific graves are welcome to visit the cemeteries during daylight hours, after obtaining the gate access code. Members may log in to their GOP account and access instructions at this link. Those unable to log in, or non-members, may obtain access information by contacting the congregation’s office (504-885-2600) during office hours, Monday through Friday, from 9AM until 4PM CST. Please plan your visit in advance by calling for the current code, as the gate codes are changed periodically. 

Use caution in walking throughout both cemeteries.  There are many uneven surfaces and a risk of tripping if caution is not taken. 

Also please note that tours, group visits or commercial group access are not allowed without special permission.
