Bumblebees & Ladybugs (Toddler 1)
About the Class
Our little Bumblebees and Ladybugs are exploring the world around them. As soon as they are steady on their feet they start running and climbing and will try to turn every piece of furniture into their own version of Mt. Everest. Language begins to develop; they enjoy parallel and pretend play, following simple directions, referring to themselves by name and enjoy echoing what others say. Classrooms for our 15 to 23-month-olds offer children many ways to express themselves socially, emotionally, and physically. It is a language rich, developmentally appropriate program that offers an atmosphere of understanding, respect and support. Class activities include music and movement, learning about the Jewish holidays, art, language and literature, science, math and a variety of sensory rich activities both indoors and outdoors. Weekly activities include music, Hebrew, Spanish and yoga. Our teachers provide a safe, loving environment that is consistent and predictable. We praise behaviors, encourage pretend play, empathy, read books and provide toys and activities that teach cause and effect and problem solving. Children do not need to be toilet trained for this program.
